This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the CFO and Controller, and ensuring the seamless execution of various accounting functions.Key Responsibilities:Cash Disbursements: Process weekly cash disbursements for our Mexico Operations under the direction of the Controller.Credit Card Management: Oversee employee credit card applications and charges.Petty Cash: Manage the petty cash account efficiently.Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed assets and associated depreciation schedules.Customer Pricing: Own the process of managing customer pricing in IQMS.Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve discrepancies related to receiving, supplier invoices, freight, purchase order pricing, etc., ensuring accurate recording of inventory, expenses, and payments.Procedure Development: Analyze and recommend improvements to existing accounting procedures.Billing Backup: Provide backup support for US Operations in billing activities, including accounts payable and receivable.Month-End Close: Assist in month-end financial statement close activities as needed.Metrics Preparation: Collect data and prepare monthly financial metrics.Project Support: Contribute to various accounting projects as necessary.Costing and Inventory Analysis: Assist with standard costing and inventory analysis.Required Skills and Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field with an emphasis in accounting.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is highly desirable.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and focus, even under tight deadlines.Problem-Solving: Adept at analyzing and solving problems with a proactive approach.Work Ethic: Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.MMI Engineered Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
