The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.Required Skills (Essential)Programming skills – including concurrent, parallel and distributed systems programmingAdvanced level knowledge of Java and PythonAdvanced level experience with HTTP, ReSTful web services and API designMessaging technologies (Kafka)]Experience with Reactive StreamsExperience in AWS S3 and GCP Big QueryDesirable Skills:A good working knowledge of a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, JavaScript, etc.Messaging technologiesExperience with KubernetesGood understanding of the Linux OSExperience with Gradle, Kotlin would be beneficialQualifications:Must to have 10-16 years of relevant experience in Apps Development using Java, Python, RESTful APIs, KAFKA, Apache HadoopExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
