Cloud Systems Engineer, Retail Engineering and Operations
DESCRIPTION
The Retail Infrastructure Services team within Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Tech is seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our secure cloud-based accounts and infrastructure, while ensuring a high level of security compliance and operational excellence. You will be working with our partner teams including TPS\TPRM, Legal, and Security. This role requires hands-on engineering to drive our cloud security initiatives and architecture needs as well as tracking any security issues to completion.

Threat modeling and security risk assessment
Incident response and security operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of contributing to automation for new and current system experience
Experience coding, scripting, automating in at least one language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
Knowledge of hardware platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
