This role serves as the architectural owner of the long-term data platform vision, ensuring it scales securely, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business priorities.Acts as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution, the role ensures that data platform capabilities are tightly aligned with organizational objectives, enabling teams to deliver insights and data products that drive measurable outcomes.establishes and enforces platform standards across security, governance, scalability, and cost management, balancing innovation with stability, compliance, and financial stewardship.Design end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, storage, modeling, and consumption layersOwn Microsoft Fabric platform architecture, configuration, and evolutionEstablish standards for data governance, security, metadata, and lineageDefine platform patterns for API-based integrations and event-driven data flowsPartner with business and IT leaders to define platform roadmaps and sequencingReview and guide solution designs produced by engineering and delivery teamsEnsure the platform supports enterprise analytics, self-service BI, and AI use casesPosition RequirementsBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; seven or more years of experience in data architecture or analytics platform leadership; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Microsoft Cloud or Data Architecture certifications preferred, including:Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)Enterprise architecture or data governance certifications a plusEnterprise data architecture and analytics platform designMicrosoft Fabric and cloud analytics ecosystemsData governance, security, and compliance principlesCost optimization, capacity planning, and platform scalingData modeling, metadata management, and lineage conceptsAbility to lead architectural decisions under ambiguityStrong strategic planning and prioritization skillsAbility to balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery needsAbility to influence senior leaders and technical teamsAbility to clearly communicate architectural direction, tradeoffs, and standardsNow is the best time to join Johnstone Supply.
