Job Summary The HRIS Analyst will join an HR Technology team and be responsible for Workday operational and functional support , as well as the implementation of system enhancements. This role partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Product teams, and IT Engineering to support production issues, data maintenance, user inquiries, system improvements, testing, and data quality initiatives.The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on Workday experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex HR system operations in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDay‑to‑Day Operational & Functional SupportServe as a primary HRIS analyst for Workday, providing daily production support, issue resolution, and system maintenanceSupport Workday modules including:Core HCMTalent & PerformanceRecruitingBenefitsCompensationProvide functional guidance to HR partners on Workday processes, transactions, and operational best practicesPerform data cleansing initiatives, including:Root cause analysisCoordinating fixes with Engineering and HR COEsImplementing preventative controlsConduct regular data audits to ensure:Accuracy and completeness of employee and organizational dataCompliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsDeliver advanced reporting and analytics using Workday reporting and third‑party tools to support business decision‑makingEnhancement & Initiative ImplementationPartner with Product and Engineering teams to design, configure, test, and deploy:Workday business processesSecurity rolesReports and dashboardsIntegrationsLead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including:Test scenario creationTest executionDefect logging and validationDevelop HRIS documentation, including:User job aidsStandard operating proceduresSystem and process documentationSupport inbound and outbound data exchanges with third‑party vendors by:Validating data filesReconciling dataEscalating issues to Engineering teams as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field7+ years of relevant HRIS experience3+ years of hands‑on configuration experience in Workday HCM modules, including:Core HCMTalent & PerformanceRecruitingBenefitsReportingAdvanced Compensation3+ years of experience supporting Workday operational support and enhancement implementationsHands‑on experience with:Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs)Mass data loadsData correctionsProven experience supporting:UAT planning and executionDefect tracking and resolutionStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detailExperience supporting production environments, ticket management, and operational issue resolutionStrong understanding of HR data structures, data quality management, and downstream system impactsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate functional requirements for technical teamsStrong technical writing skills for documentation, requirements, and training materials Preferred Qualifications Workday Pro certifications in:Core HCMTalent & PerformanceRecruitingReportingBenefitsCompensationExperience with CRM or candidate sourcing platformsExperience working within Agile software development environmentsCore SkillsHRIS / Workday OperationsCore HCMUAT TestingProduction SupportEnhancement ImplementationEIBs & IntegrationsWorkday SecurityReporting & AnalyticsBusiness Process Improvement Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $96.00 - $106.10/hr.
