06th May, 2026Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, an international law firm, who are looking to recruit an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join their team based in Salt Lake City.JOB DETAILSPAY RATE: $245,000 - $285,000 Per AnnumWORK TYPE: PermanentWORK PATTERN: Full TimeLOCATION: Salt Lake City JOB ROLEA leading law firm is seeking an associate with four to six years of energy transactional experience to join its Regulatory Affairs practice.The successful candidate will have experience handling a broad range of energy sector transactions, with particular exposure to power and transmission-related agreements and regulatory matters.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:Advise clients on a variety of energy and infrastructure transactionsDraft and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements, interconnection agreements, and electric service agreementsSupport matters involving transmission services and large load customersAssist with regulatory and commercial aspects of energy projectsConduct legal due diligence and manage transaction processes from inception to completionCollaborate with internal teams and provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:4-6 years of experience in energy transactional lawDemonstrated experience with Power Purchase Agreements and interconnection agreements (including generators, transmission, and load)Familiarity with large load matters, electric service agreements, and transmission service issuesExperience handling industry-specific energy transactionsBackground in a law firm or comparable legal environmentStrong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple transactions and work effectively within a team environmentPlease be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.HOW TO APPLY
