Experience: Mid Level Salary: $45 - $60 per hour Job Details We are seeking a Component/Parts Engineer to support a medical device platform during DVT and production release phases. This is not a product design engineering role — the focus is on parts, components, manufacturability, supplier coordination, and risk reduction to ensure designs are production-ready. Key Responsibilities Review and support release of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components/parts Evaluate component lifecycle risks (Active, NRND, EOL), supplier availability, and alternate sourcing Review mechanical drawings for GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups, manufacturability, and DFM/DFA concerns Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve component and production issues Support design transfer and manufacturing readiness activities Ensure component documentation, compliance, traceability, and PLM/ERP data accuracy (Propel / NetSuite) Key Requirements 5+ years in Component Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Hardware Support, or similar role Strong experience working with parts/components rather than full product design ownership Ability to review drawings, tolerances, datasheets, and manufacturability concerns Understanding of machining, molding, sheet metal, and supplier manufacturing capabilities Experience in regulated industries preferred (medical device highly preferred) Familiarity with DVT, design release, and production ramp processes Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and component risk mitigation A bit about us: We are a leading medical device company that operates privately and is committed to enhancing the care and quality of life of patients with kidney disease.
