Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer

*Project Overview* This role will support full-time CLIENT staff by addressing capacity needs related to the design and development of eLearning training requested by various business units. The role will also assist in converting existing LMS courses into formats compatible with the new Workday LMS being implemented at CLIENT. *Job Functions & Responsibilities* * Develop training materials using CLIENT-approved software tools, including Articulate, Adobe, Vyond, Camtasia, WellSaid Labs, Kahoot, Microsoft products, and other approved tools. * Develop training materials with the following capabilities: * Design user interfaces for iPhone, iPad, Desktop, and PowerPoint presentations. * Write audio scripts to support technical topics. * Implement animation concepts utilizing various techniques. * Develop relevant scenarios in collaboration with content owners and their subject matter expertise. * Research and gather details to support technical content development. * Identify, locate, or generate NYPA-specific visuals from provided sources. * Design training courses utilizing input provided by CLIENT content owners and subject matter experts (SMEs). * Collaborate with CLIENT personnel to develop new interactions within existing courses, including: * Video-based solutions * LMS eLearning courses * PowerPoint training solutions *Required Skills* * Advanced user of Articulate Studio and Rise and/or Storyline products for online training development with at least 5 years of experience. * Advanced PowerPoint user with strong storytelling techniques, creative scenario-based learning approaches, and engaging visual/animation development skills. * Working knowledge of project management skills required for interaction with clients during the design and development process. * Ability to work independently as the sole project resource while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines. * Ability to develop learning objectives and identify key knowledge transfer goals. * Ability to develop scenarios that support course goals based on provided content. * Ability to create audio scripts using source documentation and content owner feedback. * Ability to convert source documentation into training solutions, including highly technical and complex subject matter. * Ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations and corresponding LMS modules, with an understanding of the requirements and delivery methods for each format. * Ability to publish SCORM 1.2, xAPI, and AICC-compliant courseware, as well as MP4 videos. * Ability to create new graphic elements or modify existing graphics. * Ability to create new interactions or modify existing interactions. * Ability to create and edit video content using PowerPoint, Camtasia, Vyond, and Premiere. * Ability to prioritize workload and project deliverables with minimal supervision. * Ability to provide concise project status updates for work in progress. * Ability to organize, label, collect, and store module components for future maintenance and updates. *Education & Certifications* * Minimum of 5 years of experience in online training development using Articulate products is required. * Bachelor's degree in a learning-related field or significant relevant experience is required. * Degree in Organizational Learning, Training & Development, or a related discipline is preferred. * Portfolio of eLearning solutions demonstrating animations and storytelling techniques is required. * Note: CLIENT cannot access Google Drive-hosted portfolios.
