About theRole:As a CBRE Database Engineer, you will be responsiblefor reviewing, designing, and implementing databases and related products tosupport business operations. You will also develop various views and front-endinterfaces for users to update data and maintain business processes. The idealcandidate is strong in SQL, comfortable working across cloud data platforms,and able to take ownership of solutions from source-system integration throughproduction deployment.This job is part of the Database Engineering job function. They are responsible for the upkeep of databases across several companyplatforms and computing environments.What You'llDo:Design,build, maintain, and improve reliable data pipelines and data platforms thatsupport analytics, reporting, operational applications, and businessdecision-makingWorkclosely with data analysts, business stakeholders, application teams, and otherengineers to turn complex data requirements into scalable and maintainablesolutionsDevelopsolutions using Power Platform products including PowerApps, Power Automate,Azure SQL, etc.Ensuredata quality and integrity using validation, verification, and reconciliationprocessesOptimizedatabase and application performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing, andbuilding data structures and associated viewsMonitordatabase security, backups, and disaster recovery plansMaintaindocumentation, including data dictionaries, data models, process maps, and userguidesAssistwith training and support to end-users on database systems and applicationsLead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE valuesImpact the quality of own workWork within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlinesCommunicate effectively, exchanging straightforward information, asking questions and checking for understandingWhat You'll Need:Relevantbachelor's degree or professional certifications preferred with at least 3years of relevant work experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a combinationof experience and education will also be consideredExperience in data engineering, database development,or a closely related role that included building production ETL/ELT pipelinesfor relational databases such as SQL Server and/or Azure SQLUnderstanding of data warehousing, dimensionalmodeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestrationAdvancedSQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, queryoptimization, and data modelingFamiliaritywith using Python for data processing, automation, and API integrationExperiencewith Git-based development and version controlExperiencewith at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure and/or AWSIn-depthknowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Office products. Examples includeWord, Excel, Outlook, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, PowerBI,and FabricAbilityto use existing procedures to solve standard problemsExperiencewith analyzing information and standard practices to make judgmentsOrganizationalskills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Familiarity with Agile methodologiespreferredAbilityto adapt to rapidly changing environmentCBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Database Analyst position is $80,000 annually [or $38.46 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Database Analyst position is $90,000 annually [or $43.26 per hour].
