Process Engineer – Active Implantable Medical DevicesConsulting/Contract & Direct Hire OpportunitiesWe are seeking experienced Process Engineers with expertise in active implantable medical devices to support a highly specialized medical device manufacturing environment.Due to growth and project demand, we are hiring for two separate opportunities:Consulting / Contract Position – Remote or Hybrid Flexibility AvailableFull-Time Direct Hire Position – Relocation to the Houston, Texas Area RequiredThis role is ideal for engineers who have hands-on experience supporting the development, manufacturing, and validation of Class III implantable medical devices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, improve, and support manufacturing processes for active implantable medical devicesProvide hands-on engineering support for complex manufacturing operationsTroubleshoot process and production challenges in regulated manufacturing environmentsLead and support process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and operations teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, efficiency, and qualitySupport manufacturing scale-up, process transfer, and new product introduction activitiesEnsure compliance with FDA and quality system requirementsAreas of Expertise DesiredCandidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:Active Implantable Device HeadersEpoxy poured headersPotting and encapsulation processesFeedthrough assemblyHermetic interfacesImplantable device manufacturingActive Implantable Leads ManufacturingLaser weldingElectrode moldingCenterless grindingLead manufacturingMicro-assembly processesCatheter or implantable lead manufacturingPreferred Industry BackgroundExperience within the following environments is highly preferred:Active implantable medical devicesNeuromodulation devicesCardiac rhythm management devicesClass III medical devicesMedical device OEMs or CDMOsExperience from companies such as Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Cirtec Medical, Resolution Medical, Integer Holdings, LivaNova, Osypka Medtec, or similar organizations is strongly desired.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred5+ years of process engineering or manufacturing engineering experience within medical devicesStrong understanding of regulated manufacturing environmentsExperience with process development and validation methodologiesExcellent troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skillsOpportunity TypesConsulting / Contract OpportunityRemote or hybrid flexibility availableProject-based supportIdeal for consultants, SMEs, or experienced industry professionalsFlexible engagement options may be consideredDirect Hire OpportunityFull-time permanent positionRelocation to the Houston, Texas area requiredLong-term onsite engineering opportunity within a growing organizationConfidential inquiries are welcome.
