Vice President Operations

Large food manufacturer is seeking a multi-site VP of Operations. Position will be located out of the Chicago area. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical leader who will join our senior management team. You will be responsible for leading the plant's day-to-day operations (managing the company budget, ensuring operational compliance is followed, and addressing administrative issues).ResponsibilitieManage all aspects of a 3 facility 2000+ employee food manufacturing operationManage and mentor plant manager/directorsEnsure plant safety and food safety/quality regulations are followedMeasure the effectiveness of all processes (budget, operations, and management, etc.)Determine plants' strategic growth as part of the executive teamCoordinate cross-functional initiatives and projectsQualificationsMinimum BA/BS, prefer MS/MBA15+ years experience in food manufacturing plant management with at least 2 years as a multi-site plant manager/director/VPExperience managing in a very large manufacturing environment, minimum 1000 employeesUSDA experience- meat or frozen foods are the best backgroundsStrategic planning experienceTrack record of success and creating productive culturesContinuous improvement focusBilingual Spanish a plusCompany will provide a relocation package.
