Also, provides support to our surgical and specialty services through consultative general medicine practice.Position Requirements:Formal Education / Training:Current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.Current DEA number.Able to demonstrate leadership, managerial ability, good interpersonal relationships, and apply sound administrative principles.Obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire and maintain certification during employment.One year of hospital experience required.One year of intensivist experience preferred.Workplace Experience:Patient care delivery in the acute care setting, to include floors, Critical Care Units, and Emergency Department.Equipment and Skills:Standard patient care equipment and training, including the electronic medical record, is provided. The mid-level Hospitalist must have the ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently, and to be flexible in applying medical knowledge to a variety of situations.Physical Effort:1.
