Job DescriptionAutomotive Body Quality InspectorJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Troy, MISchedule:6am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)OR9pm-5:30am (Sunday-Thursday)DescriptionThe Quality Inspector is tasked with inspecting both incoming and outgoing vehicles upon their arrival in the building, or their departure from the paint shop. This position will also be required to move vehicles from the lot and stage finished vehicles for outdoor pickup.Essential job functions:Inspecting incoming vehicles under LED light tunnels to identify any defectsMark vehicles with white crayon to note areas of defectFollow standard operating procedures per OEM direction when inspecting and noting flawsAdhere to quality inspection standards based upon each differing program quality standardsTrack, analyze, and chart C/M to Market Quality claims for Paint itemsDriving, detailing and staging vehicles during low volume periodsSupporting department with quality maturation data after production has launchedCommunicating all data to Quality Manager in conjunction with quality management standardsInteracting with OEM Supplier Quality teams while ensuring professional and prompt communicationQualificationsHigh school degree or GED required1-3 years of exposure to paint, inspection or quality standards in automotiveValid Driver's LicenseRequires the following skills:Excellent communication, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email and written meansMust be able to multi-task and ensure follow up and follow through on required tasksHigh degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environmentIntermediate skills with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)Lifting Requirements:10 - 75 lbs.Physical Requirements:Requires moderate to high level of physical activity#IND1#ZR Meet Your Recruiter
