Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will:
1. Assist in providing patient care by instructing and advancing patients in therapeutic exercise programs and administering appropriate physical modalities as determined by the physical therapist.
2. Confer with physical therapist staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
3. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements. Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
4. Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities.
5. Provide patients with a meaningful rehab experience utilizing excellent clinical skills and patient care service.
Qualifications:
1.Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Graduate of an accredited school for Certified Physical Therapist Assistants.
2. Effective communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized verbal and written interactions with patients and co-workers. 3. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements for Medicare and other payers in accordance with guidelines established by Medicare, Medicaid, other payers and the APTA.
4. Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists and patients.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
