Cost Accountant
Description:
The Cost Accountant is committed to supporting Cloeren Incorporated continue to be the leader in extrusion die and feedblock quality and technology by ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all project costs, perpetual inventory, inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and cycle counts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare job cost report.
Conduct gross margin analysis and investigate discrepancies.
Administration of cycle counts and annual audits of inventory.
Closure of all jobs.
Ensure the correct receipt and safeguard of materials used in the manufacturing process.
Real time perpetual inventory of work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods (FG), tooling, and other materials.
Research and resolve inventory and manufacturing accounting transaction issues.
Coordination and review cost details with management.
Perform month end and year end closing tasks and journal entries.
Work with other members of the accounting team to assist on transactions involving accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, financial statement consolidations, and general ledger accounting.
Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
At a minimum, the Cost Accountant must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting along with 1+ years of manufacturing accounting experience and proven knowledge and ability to generate, read, analyze, and interpret data from enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
