Schedules and develops preventative maintenance procedures; troubleshoots and diagnoses machine and building equipment problems; directs and supervises machine and building repairs, assisting as necessary; schedules work for subordinates; identifies and schedules building maintenance work; orders and maintains inventory for building maintenance and machine repairs; and trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinates as required.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESIdentifies, schedules, and directs preventative maintenance measures for machinery, equipment, and building facilities.Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machine and equipment problems.Directs and supervises repairs to company machinery, equipment, and facilities, assisting as necessaryDirects and performs skilled building and facilities repairs and modifications, including ventilation, heating, plumbing, painting, electrical, and electronic work, roof repair, etc.Schedules and prioritizes work to be performedMonitors, evaluates, trains, and corrects subordinate performance as required.Diagnoses and performs skilled repair work on machinery and equipmentChecks, orders and maintains inventory of spare parts, material and supplies.Performs security checks of building and facilities during shutdown periods.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCESuccessful completion of a state certified apprenticeship program or a minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience; 2 years experience in a leadership role.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion).TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position typically does not require any travel.DISCLAIMER
