SUMMARY OF DUTIESThe purpose of the Doctor of Chiropractic position is to provide patient-centered, non-invasive treatment for musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those related to the spine. The DC aims to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall health through chiropractic adjustments and other therapeutic modalities. This role is crucial in promoting holistic health and wellness, preventing injuries, and contributing to patients' long-term physical well-being.The Doctor of Chiropractic is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with musculoskeletal disorders, with a primary focus on spinal health. Key duties include performing comprehensive patient evaluations, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, conducting spinal adjustments, and offering advice on lifestyle and exercise to support recovery and prevent future issues. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of chiropractic principles, AK, excellent diagnostic and manual therapy skills, and a dedication to providing high-quality patient care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and maintaining detailed patient records are also essential components of this role.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOrder, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests.Analyze and interpret patients' history, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.Diagnose or treat acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, and injuries.Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions, with attention to vulnerable populations such as infants, children, pregnant and lactating women, and older adults.Educate patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances.Understand Electronic Health Record, utilize to its fullest capabilities, and have record complete within policy regulations.Focus on health promotion or disease prevention.Consulting with the patient about their medical history and the reason for their visitCreating a plan of care that focuses on the patient's overall health and wellbeing.Assessing the patient's spine, posture, and reflexes to provide the appropriate treatment.Performing neuromusculoskeletal therapy by adjusting the patient's spine and other joints.Referring to other in office providers for supplemental treatments, such as massage and acupuncture to the injured area.Giving advice on lifestyle habits such as sleep, exercise, and diet to improve patients' physical health.Order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.Focus on health promotion or disease prevention.Consulting with the patient about their medical history and the reason for their visitCreating a plan of care that focuses on the patient's overall health and wellbeingAssessing the patient's spine, posture, and reflexes to provide the appropriate treatmentPerforming neuromusculoskeletal therapy by adjusting the patient's spine and other jointsReferring to other in office providers for supplemental treatmentsGiving advice on lifestyle habits such as sleep, exercise, and diet to improve patients' physical healthOrder, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab workMINIMUM KNOWLEDGEExcellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of diplomacy and team involvement.Must be a confident communicator and presenter. Tact, empathy, and self-discipline are traits required.Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills. Needs to excel in problem solving and be analytical and detail orientated.Ability to work independently and exercise judgement to resolve personnel and production issues that arise during daily operations.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, team members, members, and the public.Must be able to understand medical, and wellness related terminology including the various treatment modalities, equipment, and products.Must effectively manage HIPAA and related compliance regulations.Must be able to think critically and creatively, have knowledge of proper body mechanics to prevent injury.Adhering to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.Complete annual education requirements.Always maintain patient confidentiality.Report to work on time and as scheduled.Wear identification while on duty.Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.Communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization.Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.Attending regular staff meetings and in-service meetings.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTSCurrent certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (preferred).Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience working in therapy center environment preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenDexterous and able to stand for extended periods.Ability to keep a well-groomed, professional appearance.Familiar with accurately entering patient data in an EMR system in a timely manner.Understands health and wellness trends.Graduate of an accredited school of chiropractic medicine.Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree (specialized graduate education a plus).Eligible for or currently have in force in the State of Colorado a medical license and NPI number.Completion of the National Board of Chiropractic (NBC) Examiners test.Current certification in specialty areas such as applied kinesiology, women's health, pediatric chiropractic, peri-natal plus labor and delivery, and/or functional medicine is preferred.SCHEDULE & COMPENSATIONFull-Time: Non-ExemptCompensation: Starting at $50/hr DOEClinic hours are Monday through Saturday (assigned work schedule would not exceed 40 hours a week)Benefits-eligible first of the month 60 days after date of hire.Commensurate with experience, professional demeanor, contribution impact abilities, and commitment to wellness.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSMost portions (50% - 100%) of daily assignments involve prolonged sitting or standing, in an indoor office area with carpet or tile floors.
