You won’t be turning wrenches, but your decisions will directly impact uptime, safety, and production continuity.You’ll be responsible for:Reviewing and prioritizing maintenance work orders, including emergency and break-in work, based on operational demand and plant conditionsApproving or rejecting maintenance work requests based on operational impact and safety considerationsDetermining whether work should be executed by Operations or Maintenance teamsCoordinating daily execution of maintenance work between Operations, Maintenance Planning, and Craft teamsEvaluating whether equipment requires shutdowns and aligning work accordinglyRe-prioritizing scheduled work to accommodate urgent operational needsCoordinating lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work permits, and other critical safety processesEnsuring proper housekeeping and readiness for maintenance executionPartnering closely with Maintenance Supervision and Team Leads to ensure backlog work is fully planned and ready for schedulingDriving clear communication across shifts and departments to ensure work readiness and execution alignmentWhat You BringThis role is ideal for someone with a strong blend of technical understanding and operational leadership in heavy industrial environments.We’re looking for:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on operational experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of integrated pulp & paper mill operationsSolid knowledge of power generation and recovery processes (critical requirement)Proven ability to coordinate complex maintenance and operational activities in real timeStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset in high-impact environmentsExperience working cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety teamsDemonstrated ability to balance competing priorities in a high-urgency production settingStrong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organizationAbility to build trust quickly and maintain alignment across teams under pressureWhy This Role MattersThis is not a back-office coordination role.
