Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax professional to join a public accounting team in Pennsylvania. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who can oversee both tax and financial reporting work while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The position offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of engagements, collaborate directly with firm leadership, and contribute to high-quality service across diverse client needs.Responsibilities:• Prepare business and individual tax filings, including more complex returns involving multi-state, corporate, consolidated, and estate matters.• Review client accounting records, post necessary adjustments, and bring financial data to a reliable basis before tax work and reporting activities begin.• Produce and refine financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting and reporting standards.• Perform month-end accounting tasks such as journal entries, general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.• Evaluate operating agreements and lending-related documents to determine key financial obligations and calculate debt service coverage measures when required.• Manage day-to-day client relationships by addressing questions, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring engagements move forward efficiently.• Support income tax compliance efforts across federal, state, and local jurisdictions while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.• Partner with internal leadership and client teams on a variety of accounting, tax, and advisory assignments to meet business objectives. • At least 7 years of public accounting experience with strong exposure to both tax and accounting engagements.• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review complex tax returns, including corporate, consolidated, estate, and multi-state filings.• Solid technical knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.• Experience preparing financial statements and making adjusting entries based on underlying client records.• Strong client communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented environment.• CPA designation, CPA eligibility, or progress toward licensure is strongly preferred.• Proficiency with tax software such as UltraTax is an advantage.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required; advanced tax education is a plus.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
