Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a public school setting in Salem, OR. Positions are available for both elementary and middle school levels, providing essential assistance in resource and developmental classrooms. The assignment is a contracted, full-time role for the current school year (CSY), with all work conducted on-site. Available positions include: 2 openings for Elementary Resource teachers focusing on math, reading, and writing support 1 opening for a Middle School Developmental Classroom teacher working with students with low cognitive and basic skill levels 3 openings for Elementary Developmental teachers specializing in behavior management and basic skill development Key responsibilities: Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students specialized learning needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment to support diverse learners Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to promote student success Qualifications and experience: Valid special education teaching certification or licensure appropriate for K-12 settings Experience working in special education classrooms with diverse learner populations Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with developmental, behavioral, and cognitive challenges Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective communication with students, families, and staff Recent supervisory reference required to be considered (contact information must be provided) Additional details: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week All positions require in-person attendance Interviewing will begin the week of January 5th This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact the educational trajectories of students requiring specialized support.
