CNC Machinist

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate MUST have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a passion for precision machining. Our company is new to machining, so the ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality parts utilizing our Haas Vertical Machining Center and Haas Lathe as a department of one, that will ideally grow quickly. The success of this candidate will determine how quickly the department grows in terms of both new equipment and additional employees. This role involves setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities - Set up and operate our Haas VF-5SS Vertical Milling Machine and Haas ST-20Y CNC Turning Center, to manufacture parts according to specifications. - Utilize programming software for efficient machine operation and production. - Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure adherence to specifications. - Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise. - Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. - Operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the facility. Skills - Highly-proficient in CNC machining with experience in both lathe and milling machine operations. - Specific experience with Haas equipment is a requirement. - Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively. - Experience with welding techniques is a plus. - Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, for quality assurance. - Forklift operation experience is advantageous. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
