Machine Operator The Machine Operator will be loading and unloading robotic cells to support production. Incumbent will be responsible for operating one or more machines to fabricate metal parts or assemblies to specifications, applying basic knowledge of production.Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additional job duties may be assigned.Inspects and measures work pieces to specifications.Unload parts from machine, inspect parts for quality and place in appropriate containers.Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or customer notes using instruments such as gauges.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.Power up work cell, load jobs from memory stick, check gas, air supply, etc. Change gas, consumables, etc. as required.Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-taskCompetent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to changes.Moving materials with Hi-Lo and or overhead crane with lift assist.Expectations Employees are expected to follow all standards listed below:Consistently exhibit reliability, working the hours necessary to perform the job.Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication.Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO14001, IATF16949, and safety regulations.Follows work instructions and duties in a productive manner.Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.Knowledge of all applicable document control procedures.Actively support the Globe Tech values.Work Environment Work environment characteristics are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees also may be subject to certain environments such as working near loud moving mechanical parts. Need to have valid Michigan Driver License.Communication skills:Speak effectively with fellow employees or customers.Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.Other Skills:Experience with basic computer systems.Detail oriented.Organized and able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties.Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as basic algebra.BenefitsGlobe Tech offers competitive wages, a family-oriented culture, training and a career path to success.
