We seek a skilled Physician to provide expert wound management services in Batavia, Ohio, during a critical coverage period. This role offers a unique chance to support a busy outpatient clinic, deliver comprehensive wound treatments, and enhance patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities:* Manage and treat various wound types including skin reactions, vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, and chronic non-healing wounds.
* Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using advanced therapies such as bioengineered skin, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, skin grafting, debridement, and negative pressure-assisted wound closure.
* Educate patients and their support systems on wound care techniques, dressings, ulcer prevention, and management strategies.
* Supervise hyperbaric oxygen treatments and oversee post-surgical incision management.
* Implement preventative measures to reduce the incidence of pressure and vascular ulcers.
* Document care accurately using Epic EMR system.Required Skills:* Current medical license in Ohio with valid credentials.
* Proven expertise in wound management, including vascular and diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and complex traumatic wounds.
* Competency in wound assessment, debridement, and advanced therapeutic modalities.
* Strong patient education and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar documentation systems.Nice to Have Skills:* Certification in Wound Care or Hyperbaric Medicine.
* Experience with bioengineered skin applications and skin grafting procedures.
* Prior outpatient clinic experience.
* Knowledge of recent advancements in wound healing technologies.Preferred Education and Experience:* Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of 2 years hands-on wound care experience in a clinical setting.
* Previous locum or temporary coverage experience is advantageous.Other Requirements:* Availability for coverage from December 8, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
* Willingness to handle approximately 15-30 patients daily.
* Credentialing may involve temporary privileging.
