Records Management Specialist 3 Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a Records Management Specialist 3 (RMS 3) to support our nationwide contract to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with library and records management services. For this role, ASRC staff support the successful operation of a records center managing both electronic and hardcopy records on-site at EPA's location in Boston, MA. The majority of the work is performed on site, but some remote work is available on a weekly basis. The RMS provides technical support for records management programs, dockets, records centers, or other information service under supervision. The RMS may assist in planning and program development, analysis of records or docket management problems, and design of strategies to meet ongoing records or docket management needs. Specific technical duties may include, but are not limited to:Response to inquiriesCollection maintenance and retrieval tasksRecords cataloguing/indexing metadataFederal records schedule assignment and quality assurance of metadata entryEquipment maintenanceUse of automated information systems, such as the Federal Docket Management System (FDMS), the Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS), the Agency Records Management System (ARMS), and/or other related region specific or national systemsAssisting EPA clients with storage procedures and conducting records inventoriesRetaining and using knowledge about agency records management developments, including records schedule updates, for the purposes of cataloguing and proper disposition of records in paper and digital mediaTracking daily activity data and collecting data for weekly and monthly reportsLearning and using standard operating procedures and work instructionsUpdating for providing recommendations for documentation or providing feedback for improving workflows and work instructionsIdentifying innovations for records and information supportDeveloping and presenting trainings to Task Order colleagues and EPA clientsRequirements:Bachelor's degree and 3 years of records management experience.NARA Federal Records Management Certificate desirableExperience with information technology as it relates to records, data centers, and digitizationProficient experience with MS Office including Word, Excel with formulas, PowerPoint, and SharePointStrong experience in Quality AssuranceSelf-motivated and highly organized with great attention to detailCustomer service skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and on a team, to communicate effectively and courteously with colleagues and customers, and to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projectsPermanent Residency or US Citizenship is required for the Public Trust clearancePhysical requirements: Full range of arm movement (e.g., lifting above the head); ability to load paper in a scanner; ability to perform data entry; sit and stand for long periods of time; climb a step ladder to reach higher shelves; ability to lift at least 40 pounds of weight on a semi-daily basis; ability to push or pull up to 650 pounds on a cart, and the ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.EEO StatementASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity employers.
