Armed Security Guard - Start Immediately (HUR)

Job Title: Armed Security Officer – START IMMEDIATELY Location: Peoria, IL Schedule: Thursday – Sunday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Overnight) Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer to provide overnight security services at a senior assisted living community in Peoria, IL. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to maintain a safe and calm environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Applicants must be available to work ALL four scheduled days (Thursday through Sunday). Responsibilities Maintain a secure and visible presence on-site during overnight hours Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols Monitor access points and control entry/exit activity Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies Complete detailed incident and activity reports Provide professional interaction with residents, staff, and visitors De-escalate situations when necessary Requirements (MANDATORY) Valid Illinois PERC Card Valid FOID Card Reliable transportation Must possess your own: Firearm Duty holster Bulletproof vest All black pants, black shoes, and black belt Must be able to work all scheduled shifts (Thursday–Sunday, 10PM–6AM) Strong communication and report-writing skills Professional demeanor and appearance Preferred Qualifications Prior armed security experience Experience working in healthcare or senior living environments Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills This is a steady overnight position with consistent hours.
