They analyze spend patterns, identify inefficiencies, renegotiate contracts, and streamline purchasing processes across critical categories such as medical supplies, pharmacy, dietary, housekeeping, and facility operations. The goal is not only to reduce costs but also to bring structure, visibility, and long-term stability to procurement systems that are often fragmented across multiple facilities and vendors.We are hiring a Purchasing Director who brings deep, hands-on experience in Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and/or nursing home procurement environments. This is a senior-level, high-impact role responsible for shaping and executing purchasing strategy across a portfolio of healthcare clients, with a direct focus on reducing costs and improving procurement efficiency. The ideal candidate is someone who already understands the GPO ecosystem at a practical levelhow contracts are structured, how pricing tiers are negotiated, and how to leverage purchasing power across multiple facilities to drive real savings.This role requires someone who is highly familiar with the realities of healthcare operations and procurement pressure points, particularly within long-term care or skilled nursing environments. You will be expected to work directly with vendors, distributors, and GPO networks while also partnering closely with internal leadership and facility operators. The role is based out of either Monsey, NY or West Palm Beach, FL, and requires consistent in-office presence or local availability. If someone is truly strong in GPOs and healthcare procurement leadership, we are prepared to do whatever it takes to bring them into the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead procurement strategy across healthcare facility clients with a focus on cost reduction and efficiencyLeverage existing GPO relationships and contracts to optimize pricing and supply agreementsIdentify new sourcing opportunities and consolidate vendors where appropriateNegotiate contracts with suppliers across medical supplies, pharmacy, dietary, housekeeping, and facility operationsAnalyze spending patterns across facilities and implement cost-saving initiativesBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and GPO networksPartner with internal leadership to align purchasing strategy with financial and operational goalsMonitor market pricing trends within healthcare supply chains and adjust procurement strategy accordinglyEnsure compliance with healthcare purchasing standards and contractual obligationsSupport facility teams in resolving supply chain or vendor-related issues quickly and efficientlyQualificationsStrong background in Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) is requiredExperience in nursing homes, long-term care, assisted living, or post-acute healthcare environments strongly preferredProven track record in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain leadership rolesDeep understanding of healthcare vendor networks and contract structuresStrong negotiation skills with measurable impact on cost savings or margin improvementAbility to manage multiple facility relationships and purchasing priorities simultaneouslyComfortable working in a fast-paced, operationally driven environmentBased in or willing to commute regularly to Monsey, NY or West Palm Beach, FLHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and financial acumenCompensationWe are fully flexible on compensation and will structure an offer that reflects the right candidate's experience, expertise, and market value.
