Warehouse Assistant

Warehouse Assistant Warehouse Assistant supports the Store Manager by performing tasks required for successful store operations. He/she is responsible for warehouse duties including stocking, facility neatness/cleanliness, and loading, delivering, and unloading product to customer sites and between store locations, as necessary. Also, he/she may assist the Counter Sales Associates and Store Managers in the day to day basic functions of the store.Responsibilities and Duties Facilities Management:Proactively maintains store appearance and cleanliness.Responsible for organization and tidiness of store yard Inventory and OrderFulfillment:Processes customer order requests, which may include pulling stock from shelves and packaging. May assist in taking inventoryPresents a positive attitude to all customers, anticipates their needs, and provides solutions that guarantee their satisfaction with CTIS.Accepts returned stock and processes credit memos for warranty and/or unused items.Vehicle Maintenance:Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles are being properly maintain for both safety and appearance. Brings concerns to the attention of the Store Manager immediatelyFills out daily log report and maintenance checklist.Verifies, unloads and delivers customer orders and intra-company transfers using company vehicles, according to company guidelinesEnsures no product damage during delivery or loading/unloading.Reports any order discrepancies immediately to store managerRecords pickups and maintains daily recordsFollows company guidelines to ensure safety and efficiencyGeneral Support:Assists Store Manager as needed.Qualifications Work Experience Requirements Must have familiarity of the geographic area over which the store serves. Knows various roadway conditions and driving routes to optimize delivery routes and to adhere to scheduling commitments. Must be able to read road maps or follow GPS instructions if available.Ability to multi-task and take direction.Must be polite, professional and able to communicate effectively.Must be safety conscience at all times; must be current with Central's mandatory safety trainingIrrigation and landscape product knowledge is a plusEducation and or Training Requirements High School diploma/GEDValid state driving license, medical DOT card, FMCSA Registration and clean driving recordAbility to pass drug testing requirementsAbility to read and research parts in parts manual and on internal business software system.Applicant must have good communication, interpersonal skills.Prior delivery experience is a plus.Physical Demands, Abilities, and Requirements The Company has determined that the regular job duties of this position require and impose various physical demands. The physical requirements for this position include the following: Requires consistently lifting large and heavy boxes, bags and pipe and to repeatedly load and unload large boxes throughout shift. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. safely without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment.
