Behavioral Specialist in School Setting - Mount Airy, Maryland

Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This contract position offers an opportunity to support students with emotional disabilities as a Behavior Specialist with BCBA credentials, located in Mount Airy, MD. The role is based within a school environment serving the Tuscarora High School Pyramid program, providing specialized behavioral support to students to enhance their learning experience and emotional well-being.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote positive behavioral outcomes.Conduct functional behavior assessments and analyze data to inform interventions.Participate in regular planning meetings held Tuesdays and every other Thursday until 3:45 PM.Support students during the school day from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday.Qualifications:Current MD BCBA license is required.Experience working with students with emotional disabilities preferred.Strong skills in behavior analysis, intervention planning, and collaborative teamwork.Ability to maintain detailed documentation and data collection.Schedule and Details:Contract position through June 16th, 2026.Work hours: 7:15 AM 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday.After-school meetings every Tuesday and alternate Thursdays until 3:45 PM.This role is ideal for a licensed BCBA passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students facing emotional challenges.
