Carta's software for the Office of the Fund CFO does just that - it's a new category of software to make private markets look more like public markets - a connected ERP for private capital.For more information about our offices and culture, check out our Carta careers page.The Problems You'll SolveAs an Equity & Finance Analyst in our rotational ("RAMP") 12 month program, you'll work to:Use AI tools, scripting, and CLI-based workflows to complete tasks and automate real financial processesSupport customers through both deliverable and client-facing work on 409A valuations, tax reporting, fund implementations, and portfolio data collectionIdentify inefficiencies in workflows and turn them into repeatable, scalable systemsProvide feedback to engineering and product through testing, bug reporting, and process insightsBecome an expert in private markets, AI tools, and Carta's ERP visionThe Team You'll Work WithYou'll be joining our auditable reporting services team, which supports multiple products and services including 409A Valuations, Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) Attestations, Fund Tax, Venture Capital & Private Equity Implementations, VC Financial Reporting, Portfolio Data Collection, and Capital Call Lines of Credit. This 12-month program rotates you across these teams to build deep expertise in private capital operations while developing systems thinking and automation skills that directly improve how our customers manage complex financial workflows.About YouBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields (or equivalent experience)Strong interest in AI and automation-you understand these as tools to augment thinking, not replace itBias for action-you take ownership and don't wait for perfect instructionsKnowledge of financial statements and common financial conceptsExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to shifting prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with diplomacy and poise under pressureCurious, competitive mindset-you want to be excellent, not just get a jobNice to have:Exposure to financial concepts through coursework, internships, or personal interestExperience with Python, scripting, or basic technical toolingFamiliarity with financial modeling in ExcelExperience using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) thoughtfully in your workDisclosures:We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a positive interview experience for every candidate.
