PT ASST. CAMP DIRECTOR SINGLETON COMMUNITY CENTERPARKS & RECREATIONASSISTANT SUMMER CAMP DIRECTORSALARY $14.63 PER HRThis is a part-time position with no benefits. Job Functions:Provide leadership, direction and guidance for camp staff and for campers. Administer discipline when necessary and according to established guidelines. Will perform physical work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to communicate effectively to parents and/or guardians. Proper maintenance and care of facility and equipment. Ability to administer first aid when necessary and complete designated documentation. Ability to work the Summer Camp season Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm for a total of 40 hours a week. Required to work seamlessly across the department, providing assistance whenever needed to ensure the successful fulfilment of Parks & Recreation mission. Must have ability to make supervisory decisions in accordance with established policies. Preforms other related tasks or duties assigned by higher management. Qualifications:Must love children and be able to relate to them. Ability to function in a team-oriented environment. Ability to function independently, attentive to detail, work under pressure and prioritize resources. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a variety of individuals. Education, Training and Experience:Pursuing or completed a degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or other related field. Special Requirements:Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or must obtain within 6 months. Must be able to drive and hold a valid driver's license that must remain valid as condition of continued employment.
