Job Title: MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - Transfusion Tissue Services Location: Macon, GA Direct Hire Schedule: 5X8HRS Duties: Provides technical expertise and consultation to all Blood Bank Labs. Services provided include immunohematology testing, compatibility testing for blood product administration, volume reduction, and irradiation of appropriate blood products and the storage, dispensing and tracking of tissue products. Assures accreditation standards are followed at all facility Blood Bank Labs for the following: FDA, American Society Blood Banks (AABB), DNV, DCH, College of American Pathologists (CAP). Assures technical competency of Blood Bank employees. Skills: Bachelor’s degree required. BB (ASCP) or SBB (ASCP) required.
