About this role Boulder Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data Analytics to lead our data strategy, drive insights, and support the company's growth. We are looking for someone with an understanding of data analytics, a passion for healthcare innovation, demonstrated success in leading data teams and a strong reputation for collaboration. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our data-driven culture and enabling evidence-based decision-making across the organization. Success in this role Essential Functions Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's data analytics strategy to support business goals Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts and senior data analysts, including matrixed resources Serve in a player-coach role while the team continues to scale Collaborate with leadership colleagues to identify key business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through data insights Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clinical, operational, growth, product/engineering and finance teams to identify and prioritize analytics needs Provide dotted-line management to analytic resources in other areas of the business Serve as a data advocate, fostering a data-driven culture throughout the company Engage with external partners and stakeholders to leverage external data sources and collaborations Analytics & Insights: Drive the efficient and effective use of analytic models to uncover actionable insights, grounded in practical reality Analyze patient data to identify trends, improve patient outcomes, and enhance service delivery Create and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations to inform decision-making across the organization Data Management & Governance: Establish and maintain data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and security Oversee the integration and management of data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHR), patient interactions, and operational data Technology & Tools: Evaluate and implement advanced analytics tools, platforms, and technologies that best fit the company’s needs Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data practices comply with relevant HIPAA and other healthcare regulations Help lead efforts in data privacy and security to protect sensitive patient information Requirements for the role Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in data analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Experience in healthcare required; telehealth industry strongly preferred Proven track record of leading data teams and driving business growth through data-driven strategies Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust, inspire, motivate and collaborate with diverse teams Expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau or Power BI Expertise in Excel and other common database and statistical tools Nice to have but not required Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, or relevant professional experience Background in consulting, banking or technology Previous experience in a highly collaborative, team-based start-up environment Proficiency in Google Cloud Suite Work environment This is a fully remote role. Changes to working location require pre-approval from People Operations and are not guaranteed. Occasional Travel: >5% Boulder Care employees are free to use our river-front HQ located in Portland, OR whenever they would like Expected hours of work This is a full-time remote position expected to work between Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Team members may work with their managers to adjust work hours to suit the needs of the position. Team members may be asked to work additional days as work demands require. Hiring process First Interview (30 min video) Technical Interview (1 hour video) Panel Interview (1 hour video) Executive Interview (1 hour video) Final Interview (1 hour video) Anticipated Start Date: December 2024 - flexible and dependent upon candidate availability and team needs Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $150,000-165,000/year; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).
