Engineering Technician 2 Job Summary: Talent Senior ServiceNow is in search of an Engineering Technician for a contract position in Franklin, MA. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities Performs design characterization on all Product Group products. Analyzes characterizations for violations of known specifications, potential violations and overall signal integrity. Proposes and or implements fixes for any known violations. Troubleshoots and repairs systems to the component level. Sets up, configures and tests prototype systems and software. Assembles and disassembles prototype systems as necessary. Researches and learns new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products. Sets up and operates calibrates electronic test equipment, and verifies its working condition maintains its working condition. Drive Engineering – DE is a global team, located in multiple geographies. The primary role entails evaluation & qualification of storage media products used in client EMC's storage and appliance platform portfolio. The individual will be responsible for lab testing and ensuring that client EMC's storage media quality and reliability expectations are met. Group Overview DE is a focused centralized organization with end-to-end ownership of persistent storage media technologies responsible for providing these technologies through efficient, best-in-class processes. Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of multiple drive testing in PowerEdge servers Analyze data for violations of known specifications, potential violations and overall test criteria Work with the team to analyze issues, implement and validate fixes and drive those to closure in partnership with our suppliers. Troubleshoot and repairs systems to the component level. Set up, configure, and test prototype systems and software. In addition, assemble and disassemble drives and DUTs to be tested in servers Set up, operate, and calibrates electronic test equipment, and verify its working condition. Ability to rack servers, connect cables and test for functionality Data analytics and reporting to higher management and stakeholders Qualifications: Good interpersonal and communication skills Be highly motivated and display an ability to work well on own initiative Have an ability to work to tight deadlines Be Flexible Preferred: Knowledge in Storage Technology and HDD/SSD is desired, but not a requirement If this job is a match for your background, we would be honoured to receive your application!
