Title: Sr AI Engineer – AI SolutionsDuration: Full TimeLocation: Dallas, TX – Hybrid Onsite 4 days/weekCompensation: $140,000 - $190,000Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.OverviewThis role owns the design, delivery, and ongoing reliability of production-grade AI systems, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and multi-agent architectures. You'll operate with a high level of autonomy, translating complex business requirements into scalable, compliant AI solutions within a highly regulated enterprise environment.You'll also help set engineering standards, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to reusable patterns across AI teams.Key Responsibilities• Design and deploy end-to-end AI agents using modern orchestration frameworks:Build and manage agent workflows leveraging graph-based orchestration toolsDeploy across containerized and serverless environments within a secure cloud ecosystemIntegrate with multiple foundation model providers via a centralized routing layer• Build and own production RAG pipelines:Document ingestion, preprocessing, and embedding generationImplement hybrid retrieval strategies (keyword + vector search)Apply reranking techniques and ensure grounded, citation-backed responses• Develop multi-agent systems:Define agent roles, tool access, and orchestration logicImplement inter-agent communication patternsDesign human-in-the-loop checkpoints to support governance and auditability• Enable cross-platform AI integrations:Connect agent workflows to external data and compute platformsManage latency, retries, and identity propagation across environments• Implement LLM evaluation frameworks:Define and track quality metrics (accuracy, relevance, grounding)Run evaluations on each release and drive continuous improvements• Establish prompt engineering standards:Create reusable system prompts and few-shot templatesDefine structured output schemasImplement safeguards against prompt injection and unsafe outputs• Own observability for AI systems:Instrument services with distributed tracing and loggingBuild dashboards for latency, error rates, and system healthDefine alerting and support on-call operations• Integrate AI systems with enterprise platforms:Connect to tools like CRM, ITSM, productivity suites, and internal APIsBuild secure service layers to expose tools and data to agents• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards:Conduct code reviews and design sessionsIdentify skill gaps and support team growthDocument architecture decisions and reusable patternsRequired Qualifications• 5–8 years of software engineering experience• 2+ years building and operating production AI/LLM systems (not just prototypes)• Strong experience with:Python (async programming, APIs, data modeling)Building and deploying backend services in cloud environmentsContainerization and modern deployment patterns• Proven experience building RAG systems:Deep understanding of retrieval strategies and trade-offsHands-on optimization of embeddings, chunking, and reranking• Experience with agent frameworks:Building multi-agent workflows with orchestration toolsManaging tool usage, state, and execution flows• Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks:Defining quality metrics and improving system performance• Observability and production operations:Distributed tracing, logging, and monitoringSupporting live AI systems in production environments• Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environmentsUnderstanding of audit, security, and data governance requirements• Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experienceNice to Have• Multi-model experience across different LLM providers• Experience with vector databases and hybrid search techniques• Familiarity with enterprise system integrations (CRM, ITSM, APIs)• Exposure to multi-cloud or cross-platform AI architectures• Experience implementing AI safety, governance, or compliance frameworksOur benefits package includes:Comprehensive medical benefitsCompetitive pay401(k) Retirement plan...and much more!About INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
