Akkodis is seeking an 2nd Shift Test Technician role is a Full-time with a client in Aurora, OH or Streetsboro, OH (Onsite), We are ideally looking for an applicant with prior experience working with 480V to 600V systems, including Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), and Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB).Pay Range: $29-$31/hour + Benefits; (Eligible for OT). The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Note:Should be prior experience with 480V up to 600V is required now.Circuit breakers - Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB), Relays - (Overcurrent, Differential, Distance, and Earth Fault relay)Position Description: Test TechnicianWill be responsible for implementing appropriate test methods, utilizing necessary test equipment, implementing test procedures and software, and providing a lead role in the testing of newly developed products and standard production testing.The Test Technician will operate on all types of test instruments and will have limited supervision.Looking for an intelligent, detail-oriented, dependable worker with excellent documentation skills to join our team.Primary Duties:Inspection and testing of electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakers.Troubleshooting of AC and DC power and control circuits 480V to 600VPerform occasional repairs of control, power and fiber optic assembly, crimping and routingProgramming electronic devices, interfacing with computers and programs on computers.Completing test reports and documentation using a computer, keyboard, and paperwork.Manipulating objects, tools and controlsIncludes standing for extended periods of time, as well as reaching, bending and kneelingExperience & Skills:Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing AC and DC power and control circuits operating at 480V-600V in an industrial or commercial environment.Proficient with Voltmeter and current meterRead and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawingsExperience using hand toolsProficient with Voltmeter and current meterExperience with use and maintenance of electrical PPEExperience with Lock-out/Tag-out and other standard electrical safety proceduresComputer experience; Excel, Word, file manipulationExperience with electrical parts assembly and/or wiring preferredElectrical troubleshooting of electrical components and electronicsUse of measurement toolsDemonstrated oral and written communication skills.Some programming knowledge a plusSome knowledge of the NEC code preferredEducation:Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 years minimum experience in the power industryEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefits offerings include but are not limited to:Competitive pay with performance incentives100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision401(k) with company match3 weeks PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit https://www.akkodis.com/en/privacy-policy.
