The café serves as a ministry designed to help people connect and build community within the church family.QualificationsHigh school diploma preferredPrevious food service experience preferredCurrent Oregon Food Handler's Card requiredRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work cooperatively with volunteers and staffComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentGood time management and ability to work independentlyBasic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food preparationUnderstanding of sanitation standards and health codesAbility to safely use cleaning supplies and equipmentBasic computer skills for email and time entryGood judgment and professionalism during services and eventsPhysical RequirementsProlonged standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reachingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in an active kitchen environmentEssential DutiesAssist with meal and food preparationHelp guide and support café volunteersMaintain safe food handling and sanitation practicesClean and organize kitchen, preparation areas, utensils, and equipmentAssist with café cleanup after services and eventsMonitor inventory and communicate supply needs to Café ManagerEnsure food presentation meets established standardsServe as backup support for Café Manager when neededPerform other duties as assignedThis is a temporary opportunity within a faith-based organization dedicated to serving its community through hospitality and ministry.INDSO
