This role is responsible for leading technicians, coordinating preventive maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining operational efficiency across fleet and equipment assets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support maintenance technicians across multiple skill levels to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently.Coordinate and schedule maintenance work to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.Monitor shop performance and recommend process improvements where appropriate.Lead daily shop meetings, inspections, coaching, training, and performance management activities.Support hiring, evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development in partnership with management and HR.Ensure all repairs and outside vendor work comply with company standards and applicable DOT, OSHA, federal, and state regulations.Conduct quality control inspections and oversee diagnostic troubleshooting on complex repair issues.Manage inventory, parts purchasing, and maintenance-related expenses within budget guidelines.Maintain working knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, brakes, suspension, and related heavy equipment systems.Oversee administrative responsibilities including payroll support, maintenance documentation, budgeting, and maintenance software updates.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.ASE certifications preferred, including diesel engine, brakes, suspension/steering, electrical/electronic systems, and HVAC.ASE Master Certification preferred.Minimum Requirements3+ years of heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience.1+ year of supervisory or lead technician experience.Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and general workplace safety regulations.#EEM
