Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Technician with experience operating a Hexagon Polyworks Arm to dimensionally inspect machined components to blueprint dimensions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set up and run Hexagon Arm to accurately measure large parts
· Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts
· Prepare inspection reports from drawings, customer and engineering specifications
· Coordinate inspections with Production Managers and Engineering team
· Ensure all required inspection report documentation is accurately completed and compiled
· Ability to verify gages are in calibration
· Maintain safe working environment
Requirements:
· Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
· High school education preferred
· Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in metrology lab
· Experience working with Polyworks
· Ability to efficiently use the majority of the following tools: bore gages, gage blocks, Pi tapes, ultrasonic thickness gage, optical comparator, precision square, hardness tester, paint thickness gage, Micro-Hite (advance functions), angle plates (right angle and thread), thread gages, thread wires, inside and outside micrometers and profilometer
· Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems and measuring instruments
· Excellent knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Solidworks a plus
· Knowledge and familiarity working in a fast-paced machine shop environment
· Excellent math skills, especially algebra and trigonometry
