AFO is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Tech to help with maintenance of the grounds around the MCB.ResponsibilitiesMaintains grounds of industrial, commercial, government or public property; Repairs structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: cuts grass, using walking-type or riding mowers (less than 2000-lbs). Trims hedges and edges around walks, flower beds, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools. Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears, chainsaw, and other hand tools. Applies sprays/granule fertilizers or insecticide on lawns, shrubs, trees, flower beds. Plants grass, sod, flowers, trees, shrubs. Waters lawns and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system. Picks up leaves, paper, debris, and other litter. Removes snow from walks driveways, roads, or parking lots, parking garages, using shovels, snow blowers, ATVs, plow trucks. May clean offices, workshops areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping, and polishing. Perform preventative maintenance on all lawn equipment to include but not limited to mowers, trimmers, blowers, edges, snowblowers. Performs other duties as assigned.
