About the Opportunity:The Data Engineering Lead will guide the architectural direction of the data platform and mentor engineering teams. Responsibilities:• Define architecture, standards, and roadmap for the data platform• Architect the data platform end-to-end using BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, and related technologies• Establish data modeling and serving standards across tools and dashboards• Mentor data engineers and analysts through technical challenges and development• Promote engineering best practices including TDD, modular testing, and CI/CD pipelines• Optimize costs and performance by improving query speed and data handling• Use AI tools to support research, code reviews, and workflows• Develop documentation and teach methodologies for long-term team success4. Requirements:• Proven leadership in data engineering with technical authority• Expertise in GCP data stack including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage• Advanced skills in BI tools and SQL for data modeling and dashboards• Expert-level Python skills with experience in TDD and modular testing• Proficiency in Git and designing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing• Experience integrating AI and large language model tools into engineering• Strong project management and Agile methodology experience• Excellent communication skills for diverse technical and non-technical audiences5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Competitive salary range of $120,000-$130,0006.
