Marketing Director

About the Job:We are looking for a Marketing Director to act as the strategic “marketing brain” for our North American business. This role will focus on top‑level planning, business strategy, and market breakthrough. The ideal candidate comes from a sales background in our industry, knows our customers and the ecosystem inside out, and is ready to transition into a strategic, technically‑minded marketing leadership role.Job DescriptionsConduct in-depth research on customers’ future technology roadmaps and product plans to identify alignment opportunities between our offerings and customer needs;Analyze customer pain points and unmet needs, develop reports on customer profiles, application scenarios, and product opportunity areas;Track industry technology evolution trends (standards, architectures, alternative solutions) to provide inputs for product roadmap planning;Conduct regular visits with core customers (engineering/R&D/procurement teams) to build first-hand insights into customer demands;Support sales team in solution presentations and technical Q&As with key accounts, enabling effective dialogue at both executive and technical levels;Act as a translator between sales and R&D: convert customer technical language into internal requirements, and translate product capabilities into customer value propositions;Plan and lead participation in key industry exhibitions with clear objectives: lead generation, competitor research, and industry networking;Conduct systematic post-exhibition reviews including lead distribution, customer feedback consolidation, and competitive activity summaries;Establish a competitive intelligence monitoring mechanism covering pricing, technology roadmaps, customer coverage, and key talent movements;Participate in key account strategy development and critical customer meetings, serving as a trusted “technical marketing partner” to the sales team;Establish a Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback mechanism to drive internal product improvements.Job RequirementsProven experience in technical marketing, product marketing, or strategic marketing roles within the OEM/consumer electronics or related industries;Strong ability to translate between technical and commercial languages, bridging R&D and sales teams effectively;Solid understanding of BOM cost structure and basic familiarity with DFM principles;Experience in customer insights, competitive analysis, and technology trend tracking;Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills;Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level audiences;Good command of both written and oral English; Chinese Mandarin is a plus;Education: Bachelor’s degree or above;5+ years of working experience in OEM/consumer electronics, product marketing, technical sales support, or R&D-facing marketing roles.
