The role will focus on schema conversion, stored procedure remediation, query optimization, and data validation to ensure a secure, accurate, and high-performance migration.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and convert database objects (schemas, tables, stored procedures, triggers) from Sybase to SQL ServerRefactor and optimize existing SQL logic to align with SQL Server (T-SQL)Develop and enhance complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and viewsPerform query tuning and performance optimization using indexing and execution plan analysisDesign and execute data validation and reconciliation scripts to ensure data accuracy and integritySupport large-scale data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, and loading validationCollaborate with ETL teams (Informatica) and application teams for seamless data flow and DB integrationAssist in testing phases (SIT, UAT, E2E) including defect analysis and resolutionTroubleshoot and resolve data, performance, and migration-related issues during cutover and post-go-liveDocument database changes, migration logic, and dependencies in line with audit and compliance requirementsMust have skills:Strong expertise in SQL (SQL Server + T-SQL)Hands-on with Stored procedures, triggers, viewsExperience in Query tuning and performance optimizationStrong knowledge of data modeling and relational databasesExperience with large-scale data processing & validationPreferred Skills:Experience in database migration / modernization projectsExperience with Informatica ETL toolsKnowledge of Power BI / reporting queries optimizationScripting knowledge (Unix/Linux / Python)Financial services domain experienceExperience level: 6 to 8 yearsPay and Benefits Pay Range Minimum: $95000/Annual Pay Range Maximum: $151000 / AnnualHCLTech is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, and/or local law.
