ODS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and also has offices/plants in Texas and North Carolina centrally located to serve clients across the country.SummaryThis position is responsible for providing quality assurance by conducting inspections, monitoring processes and procedures, and completing reports and logs to ensure that production standards are met.Duties And ResponsibilitiesConducts in-process inspections and documents results in various reports/logsInspects manufactured product to ensure compliance to drawings (PDF proofs) and specificationsAids in the production area to ensure quality product is being produced; communicates and documents findings of any non-conforming productDrives production audits ensuring SOP’s are being metEnsure all first and last piece sign off’s are completedWill also be responsible for creating and completing daily reportsReads and reviews materials, such as job tickets, PDF proofs, and any other special instructions that pertain to the job requirementsMonitors or observes process to ensure that they meet production standardsEnsures plant associates are operating within the process structureDetermines quality improvement opportunities by collecting and reviewing dataDocuments inspection results by completing reports and logsAssists with Root Cause Analysis/ Corrective ActionsSupports Plant ManagementFollow standard operating procedures according to the departments guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsHigh School or GED equivalent, prior experience in manufacturing/Quality Assurance a plus, Six Sigma knowledge a plus, knowledge and understanding of Windows based operations and programs, knowledge of Excel and how to create graphs and chartsMust be organized and able to work with minimum supervisionMust possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilitiesMust also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsThe ability to write routine reports and correspondence is also required. Must be able to work overtime and some weekendsPerform all work and activities with honesty and integrityTake personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of workEffectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely mannerChallenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organizationSupport and meet company/department goals and core valuesCollaborate with co-workers to achieve common goalsWorking ConditionsMust be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 10 pounds.
