This role requires an individual capable of hands-on ability on building automated mechatronic systems from the ground up. This is an impact job, meaning there will be ample opportunity to effect changes and see the results. We seek an individual who is creative, ambitious, well-versed in a variety of engineering skills, but is especially passionate about robotics.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and implement automation machines and processesDesign of Experiment and test apparatus creation for quality control and product testingWork cross-functionally with manufacturing and applications engineers as a robotics SMEInteract with customers and research partnersGithub repository and code managementConduct detailed research and record findingsCreate and maintain relevant technical documentationDemonstrate excellent time management skills for on-time delivery of assignmentsTake ownership of and manage projects as assignedReport to Head of EngineeringMinimum Required Skills And KnowledgeProven record of accomplishment in robotics R&DMechatronics: ROS, Linux, controls, system integrationProgramming: C++, Python, MATLAB, GitElectronics: circuit building and troubleshootingProficient with CADHardware prototyping and DFM/DFA familiarityProficient in creating, reviewing, and editing of relevant technical documentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detailTypical Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering related discipline and 5+ years of related experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of related experience.
