Sr. CCL/EHR Systems Analyst

Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening (contract term approximately 3 months with possible extension) for a Sr. EHR/CCL Systems Analyst resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX. *This resource can work remotely.Role: Sr. EHR/CCL Systems AnalystRole Description:The client is seeking a Cerner Millennium CCL and Data Transformation Lead resource to support Electronic Health Record (EHR) migration initiatives. This role provides a combination of Millennium data management expertise and hands on technical development and data extraction approaches within Cerner Millennium environments. This resource will ensure that clinical workflow intent and operational requirements are accurately translated into Cerner Command Language (CCL) logic, data extracts, and downstream reporting and analytics solutions. This position operates under client direction, policies, and standards, and collaborates closely with clinical stakeholders, informatics governance bodies, and technical delivery teams to support EHR modernization, data migration, reporting, and legacy system retirement efforts. Key Activities/Responsibilities:Assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings.Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for data extraction, reporting, and analytics solutions.Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments.Perform complex data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas.Support enterprise wide EHR data migration, reporting, and legacy system retirement initiatives.Develop, maintain, and support structured data feeds, flat file extracts, and ETL processes.Troubleshoot and resolve CCL performance issues and downstream data integration or reporting challenges.Serve as a liaison between clinical informatics stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure accurate implementation of clinical intent.Clearly communicate data limitations, technical constraints, and system dependencies to non-technical audiences.Execute and tune CCL scripts, manage batch jobs, and support production and non-production environments in accordance with client standards. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 11 years of solid understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.Minimum of 11 years of demonstrated experience supporting large scale EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization initiatives.Minimum of 11 years of proven ability to translate clinical requirements into technical and data specifications.Minimum of 11 years of advanced, hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL).Minimum of 11 years of working knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases.Minimum of 11 years of experience with SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction or migration patterns.Minimum of 11 years of experience designing and supporting ETL processes.Minimum of 11 years of familiarity with healthcare data integrations and reporting environments.Minimum of 11 years of experience with REST / SOA development.Minimum of 11 years of knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning.Minimum of 11 years of experience writing, executing, and tuning CCL scripts in production environments.Minimum of 11 years of experience with data extraction, system integration, and code development.Minimum of 11 years of working knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, OCI.Minimum of 11 years of hands-on experience developing or supporting services on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments.Prior experience serving as a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead.What we offer:Competitive compensation and benefits including health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, voluntary life insurance and moreRemote working arrangementGreat work/life balanceLuna Data Solutions, Inc.
