Machinist

MachinistManufacture and repair aircraft parts using CNC and conventional milling machines, lathes and other standard machine shop equipment from engineering drawings. Draw and program parts using CAD/CAM software. Other duties as assigned.Required job skills:High school diploma or GEDGraduate of a certified machine trades program.Effectively speak, read and write in the English languageThree (3) year's experience setting up and operating CNC vertical mills, and basic programming skills, as well as performing manual machining. Must be able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and have the ability to inspect parts, using precision measuring equipment.Ability to operate CAD/CAM softwarePreferred job skills:Mastercam CAD/CAM softwareFARO CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)Polyworks 3D Metrology softwareWorking knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Principles)Equal opportunity employer.
