Be part of a fast-paced environment focused on analytics, risk, and performance.Primary Services is excited to announce the Risk Analyst role for its client, a large-scale enterprise operating in commodity trading and financial markets that manages complex daily valuation, exposure, and profit-and-loss reporting across multiple trading desks. The Risk Analyst will utilize the ETRM system (RightAngle) to analyze and report mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes, and daily P&L results. This role supports strategic decision-making by ensuring risk reporting is accurate, consistent, and clear, and by partnering across finance, credit, and technology in a sophisticated trading environment.Responsibilities:Utilize RightAngle ETRM to analyze and report daily mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes, and profit and loss results.Drive standardization of reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of risk analytics and performance data.Ensure compliance with company trading policies and established position limits.Support setup and maintenance of trading strategies within RightAngle, including system enhancements and testing.Analyze market risk controls and middle office processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and accuracy.Partner with Credit, Finance, and IT stakeholders to support risk governance and operational alignment.Provide training and support to traders and schedulers on deal entry and proper transaction capture within RightAngle.Validate daily pricing inputs and identify missing or incorrect market data.Develop and maintain desk procedures for trade capture, reporting workflows, and risk operations.Assist accounting teams with reconciliations between financial results and risk reporting outputs.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.5+ years of P&L and/or daily mark-to-market reporting experience across multiple commodities and trading environments.Experience supporting financial or commodity trading desks with exposure to structured products or derivatives.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced data analysis functions.Experience with ETRM systems, preferably RightAngle.Demonstrated understanding of market risk exposure, valuation methodologies, and P&L drivers.Experience working with daily pricing inputs, validation processes, and data reconciliation.Familiarity with financial controls and trading limit frameworks.Experience supporting reporting processes in a high-volume trading or financial operations environment.
