You'll be part of a team that genuinely cares about helping you succeed, and you'll work alongside talented colleagues, while making a difference in our communities.JOB SUMMARY:The Seafood Clerk is responsible for preparing fish and seafood for general purchase by cutting, cleaning, and trimming down fish.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:* Ensures area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper* Ensures all products are properly signed and all product is rotated correctly* Certifies products received throughout the day* Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughly* Other duties as assigned by managementEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* High School Diploma, GED equivalent required* Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department, a plus* Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments.* Bilingual in English and SpanishKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance.* Detail oriented* Read and write English/Spanish* Follow instructions,* Comfortable using knives safely and efficientlyPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met or successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
