Shift Manager (Evening)

"Position Summary\nMarsden Central is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Shift Manager to oversee cleaning operations in a large Class A office building in downtown Minneapolis. This role is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining effective communication with both team members and building management.\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Supervise and support janitorial staff during assigned shift\n\n* Train and develop all associates in all job positions within the assigned area to ensure all associates are following consistent cleaning procedures* Conduct safety training and completes safety audits\n\n* Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance\n* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed\n* Address client requests, concerns, and service issues in a timely and professional manner\n* Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures\n\nQualifications\n\n* Previous janitorial or custodial experience required\n* Prior supervisory or leadership experience required\n* Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced commercial environment\n* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills\n* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities\n* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions\n* Basic computer or reporting skills preferred\n* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\n* Competitive annual salary $50,000-$58,000 (based on experience)\n* Health, Dental, and Vision insurance\n* Life and Disability Insurance\n* 401(k) or retirement plan options\n* Paid time off and holiday pay\n* Opportunities for advancement within Marsden Services\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED is preferred2 to 4 years of experience in commercial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or any other related service-based industry2 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing frontline employeesBi-lingual English-Spanish is preferred\nBusiness Conduct\nCommitment to behave in compliance with the company's values and Code of ConductBuilds a culture of work safety and leads by example with one's own safe behaviorTreats co-workers with respect and approaches conflict with positive intent and professionalismAsks questions to understand why we do what we do and how we do it - champions change when improvements can be madeEnsures one's own compliance with the company's published Operations Standards\n\nEEO Statement\nMarsden is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
