This person will help run and evolve our freight operations team, build strong relationships with brokers and carriers, and drive alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate understands both sides of the freight equation — carrier operations and broker dynamics — and can balance commercial growth with operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead and support the Billor for Brokers team, to create a ecosystem for brokers.Develop team capabilities in negotiation, partnership management, and operational execution.Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture focused on service quality and continuous improvement.Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with freight brokers.Act as the bridge between brokers and freight team, aligning interests, resolving conflicts, and ensuring smooth transactions.Collaborate with leadership to define short- and long-term goals for freight growth, profitability, and service quality.Identify new opportunities for efficiency, automation, and network optimization.Help the team to evolve focusing on growth and resultsPartner with finance, product, and operations teams to ensure freight programs meet company goals.Provide insights to leadership about market trends, capacity shifts, and broker behavior.Support leadership with forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making.Identify opportunities to differentiate Billor in the broker market through innovative approaches.Represent Billor for Brokers at industry events, trade shows, and partnership meetings as needed.QualificationsExperience in freight, logistics, or supply chain, ideally in both carrier and brokerage contexts.Deep understanding of freight operations, pricing, and relationship management.Strong business acumen and the ability to align operational decisions with company strategy.Proven track record of building partnerships and improving operational performance.Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Extra details and benefitsOn-site in Raleigh, NC;Health and dental plan;Paid vacation;Federal Holidays off;Parental Leave;Wedding Leave;PEX card (supermarket and restaurants);Annual bonus based on both company and individual performance;Eligibility to the LTIP (Long Term Incentive Plan).
